We collect information you provide directly, including your email address, name (optional), chat messages, project details (problem description, location, timing), property information, and payment authorization metadata processed by Stripe.

We also collect technical data such as session identifiers, device/browser information, and usage logs necessary to operate and secure the platform.

We use your information to:

• Authenticate you via email verification codes
• Run the AI concierge intake and provider discovery flow
• Coordinate outreach, quotes, and scheduling on managed projects
• Process payment holds, captures, and refunds through Stripe
• Send transactional emails about your projects
• Improve reliability, security, and customer support

Rootenly uses email one-time passcodes (OTP) for sign-in. We do not require passwords for customer accounts. OTP codes expire after a short period and are sent only to the email address you provide.

We share data with vendors that help us operate Rootenly, including Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), OpenAI/Anthropic (AI intake, when configured), and Google Places (provider discovery, when configured).

When you choose managed concierge, we share relevant project details with the selected service professional or our operations team to coordinate the job.

We retain project records, transcripts, and payment-related data as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting privacy@rootenly.com. Some data may be retained where required for legal or financial record-keeping.

We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Rootenly is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
